Twenty-eight seniors attended Grand Bend's Huron Country Playhouse on Friday, Sept. 3 to see Fiddler On The Roof. Blyth group joined the Auburn group for this event. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Craig and family of St. Jacobs spent the weekend at their trailer home, RR 3, Auburn. Rev. Ross speaks of women's work Rev. Paul Ross conducted the service at Knox United Church and Bernice Gross was organist. The opening chorus "0 Holy Spirit" was sung followed by the Invitation to Worship. Rev. Ross gave the Prayers of Approach and Confession and Assurance. "Stand Up and Bless The Lord" was sung. The Lord's Prayer was repeated in unison and "Jesus Loves The Little Children" was sung. Rev. Ross read the scriptures after which the congregation sang, "0 Master Let Me Walk With Thee." Rev. Ross's sermon was "That's Women's Work" after which he gave the Pastoral Prayer. The offering was received by Ken Ramsey and Bill Seers and dedicated in song. The closing hymn "Take My Life and Let It Be" was sung. Rev. Ross pronounced the Benediction and the singing of Amens ended the service. Church School will commence next Sunday, Sept. 12 at Knox United Church. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Alex Brunaylt (nee Shelley Powell) of Vanastra who were married recently at her father's home in Auburn. Greeters at Londesboro United Church on Sunday, Sept. 5 were Tom and Marjorie Duizer. Ushers were John and Jane Hoggart. Guest organist was Andrea Postma. The sermon topic was "That's Women's Work". A congregational meeting was held after church concerning a new heating system for the church. In the announcements it was noted that choir practice is at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 12 and 19. Sunday School classes for all ages will begin again Sept. 12. ITHE OIL CAN MAW Session and Committee of Stewards will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. in the Sunday School room. The official board will meet at 9. People Congratulations to Theresa Overboe and Andrew Flowers who were married in Londesboro Church on Saturday evening, Sept. 4. The Seniors Dance will be held at the hall at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15.
