The first new car show for Brus-
sels will be held at the BMG Com-
munity Centre on Sept.16 and 17,
1993.
J. L. McCutcheon's and Brussels
Motors will present the display of
1994 vehicles for the convenience
of the customers, says Bob Rich-
mond of J. L. McCutcheon Chevro-
let Oldsmobile.
In past years, the new car show
was presented in conjunction with
the Brussels Fall Fair.
Due to a lack of available space
to adequately display the new mod-
els, Mr. Richmond and Larry Rice
of Brussels Motors Dodge Chrysler
decided a separate show might be
the answer.
"Instead of showing only three
cars each, we will be able to have
12 each," says Mr. Richmond.
Mr. Rice adds, "The indoor facil-
ities will be very convenient for the
customers in two respects. They
will be able to view the new prod-
ucts together for easier comparison
and they will be out of the weath-
er."
Both men emphasize this is a
"joint venture, a combined effort."
"The customer will be able to
look with no pressure,''says Mr.
Rice.
The two dealers decided to try
this approach because it had been
successful in Listowel and
Goderich.
This will just be a test year to see
if the event is successful, says Mr.
swimming and good wild raspberry
and thimbleberry crops. The
merganser and black ducks raised
their families close by and the
loons were also seen and heard
regularly over the course of the
summer.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Willert of
Rodney visited with Mae and Lou
Ebel one day last week.
Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Modlcr of
Kemptville visited for a couple of
days with the Ebels. Mrs. Ebel is
Mrs. Modler's aunt. They also
called on her other aunts and
uncles, Ned and Kay Rutledge and
Jack and Margaret McCutcheon.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Badger,
Orillia, spent a couple of days with
her sister Kay Rutledge and called
Rice, and the turnout will deter-
mine if the show is held another
