Area residents celebrate September birthdays Continued from page 7 to all the places the Bankses missed. Patty says she's sure the Walton Inn coffee shop won't be the same when her dad leaves. "It was interesting to hear my parents' comments on the area", she said. "The things we take for granted and don't notice any more, for instance the amount of towns so close together, the big barns and silos." Her mother noticed the buildings that were painted orange. She had never seen that before. The family showed them tobacco (near Brantford), something they'd never seen either. They met sonic very nice people in Walton and can now go back and tell Westerners that yes, people are friendly "back East", says Patti.
