Squirts split
in tourney
The Blyth Squirt girls took part
in the year-end tournament on Aug.
21, in Varna. The team played an
excellent first game, beating a
strong Goderich Two team by 22-

team was number one in league
standings. The game was tied until
the fourth inning when the
opposing team scored seven runs.
Blyth ended up losing by 15-4.
The girls played really well but
were constantly shut down at the
plate by strong pitching.
Ashley Howson, who pitched
both games for Blyth, did an
outstanding job.
Team members are: Ashley
Howson, Melissa Rammeloo,
Ashley Rammeloo, Sarah
