School construction begins
Big things are happening in
Walton, construction-wise anyway.
The cement has been poured at the
Walton school and a big
construction crane comes Monday
to put up the steel framework.
Bill Devereaux, owner of Jim
Dale Milk Transport, is in the
process of building a 30' x 64'
addition to his building downtown.
Also the new playground
equipment from Paris, Ont.,
purchased by the Walton Sports
Club, is being set up at the baseball
park.
Congratulations to Karl
MacNaughton on the win of his
horse, Tigers Flash, Aug. 22 at
Clinton Raceways.
Karl also went this past weekend
to Drayton, where he was judging
at a fiddling competition.
It's been a busy week for the
Bankses as they have been showing
Patty's parents as much of Ontario
as possible. Howard Hackwell
helped a lot by taking Patty's father
