O bituaries
STELLA CLARK
Stella Lillian Clark entered into
rest at Braemar Nursing Home on
Aug. 14, 1993.
Mrs. Clark was the beloved wife
of the late John H. Clark.
She was born on the 4th Line of
Grey Twp. on Jan. 7, 1914, to the
late Lillian and Telford Sellers.
After marrying John Clark in
1931, they farmed on the 5th Line
of Morris Twp. for 36 years.
They retired to Brussels in 1967.
Mrs. Clark was a member of St.
John's Anglican Church in Brus-
sels.
She was the loving mother of the
late Kathleen McWhirter and dear
mother-in-law of Jack McWhirter.
Mrs. Clark leaves to mourn her
passing four grandchildren: Gail
Hodgins of Calgary, Connie Pletch
of Lucan, Jackie Cook of Blyth and
Gary McWhirter of Lucan.
Also surviving are nine grand-
children and one sister, Margaret
Hogg of Collingwood.
She was predeceased by her
brother Ken Sellers and her sister
Ida Sellers.
Funeral services were held on
Aug. 17, 1993 at Betts Funeral
Home in Brussels.
Rev. Paul Acton officiated and
Jackie Cook gave the eulogy.
Pallbearers were Les Cook,
Garry McWhirter, Don Pletch, Don
Sellers, Rodger Sellers and Spence
Scott.
Flowerbearers were Amanda,
Dan and Mike Pletch.
Interment was at Brussels Ceme-
tery.
In remembrance, donations to the
Alzheimer's Society would be
appreciated.
FLORENCE CLEMENT
Florence Matilda Clement for-
merly of Wroxeter passed away
Aug. 18, 1993 at the Mississauga
General Hospital. She was in her
83rd year.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Clarence Clement (1991) and
the loving mother of Bob and Janet,
Pete and Lourdes and Dan and
Yolanda.
Mrs. Clement was the loved
grandmother of 12 grandchildren
and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on
Aug. 20 at the Betts Visitation Cen-
tre in Gorrie. Rev. Jeff Hawkins
officiated at the service and Jen-
nifer Isabelle gave the eulogy.
Flowerbearers were Danny
Isabelle and Sandy Parkinson.
Pallbearers were Peter Isabelle,
Robert Isabelle, Michael Isabelle,
Christopher Isabelle, Jennifer
Isabelle and Melanie Isabelle.
Interment was at Wroxeter
Cemetery.
In remembrance, donations to
Wroexter United Church would be
appreciated.
JAMES LOCKWOOD
James F. Lockwood of 91 Joseph
St, Clinton passed away on Friday,
Aug. 20. 1993, at Clinton Public
Hospital.
Mr. Lockwood served in World
War II in the Royal Canadian Air
Force. He also held the positions of
funeral director in Blyth and barber
in Clinton, over the years.
Mr. Lockwood was born to the
late Charles F. and Margaret J.
(Carter) Lockwood of East
Wawanosh Twp. on Dec. 3, 1921.
He will be missed by his chil-
dren; Ronald and Gertie, Leth-
bridge, Alberta, Donald and
Bonnie, RR 3 Clinton, Sheila and
Jack Carter, Clinton, Maureen and
John McClinchey, Blyth, and Gary
and Dianne, Lethbridge, Alberta.
He was the dear grandfather of
eight grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
Mr. Lockwood is survived by
one sister, Margaret (Mrs. Ken
Sills) of Smith Falls, Ont.
He was the special friend of Ida
Diehl of Seaforth.
Padre F. Golding officiated at the
funeral service held on Sunday,
Aug. 22, 1993, at Beanie Chapel of
the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Home,
Clinton.
Seaforth Royal Canadian Legion
Branch held a memorial service on
Sunday.
Interment was at Blyth Union
Cemetery.
JENNIE WALSH
After a long and courageous
battle with Alzheimer's, Jennie
Walsh passed away peacefully at
Country Road Lodge, RR 3,
Lucknow, Aug. 18, 1993 in her
88th year.
She was born in Morris
Township, Aug. 21, 1905 to the
late John and Isobel Wightman.
Prior to her marriage to James
Walsh in 1936, she was a hair
dresser in Port Elgin. After
marriage, they resided on the
family farm until the death of
James in 1979.
She was a member of Belgrave
United Church and sang in the
choir for a number of years. Jennie
will always be remembered for her
beautiful flower gardens and her
loving devotion to her family.
She is survived by two daughters,
Eleanor, and her husband Duncan
Campbell of Kincardine and
Marlene of Kitchener. Also
surviving are her grandchildren
Kent and Jill Campbell of
Kincardine. Three brothers, two
sisters, and her parents predeceased
her.
The funeral service was held
from the McBurney Funeral Home
in Wingham on Aug. 20 at 2 p.m.
Jocelyn Richard, minister of the
Bervie-Kinloss United Church
officiated. Interment took place in
Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.
Pallbearers were former
neighbours, Alan Dunbar, Clare
VanCamp and Donald Procter,
nephews Charles Black and Ross
Wightman and her grandson Kent
Campbell.
Floral tributes were carried by
former neighbour Jim Hunter,
nephew Bruce Hamilton, and
cousin Ivan Wightman.
JOHN MUSTARD
John Fraser Mustard of RR 2
Bluevale, passed away on Aug.17,
1993 at Wingham and District Hos-
pital in his 87th year.
Mr. Mustard was the beloved
brother of Margaret and Jack Fisch-
er of Bluevale.
He will be missed by one
nephew, Douglas and two nieces,
Lorretta and Mary.
Rev. Banks officiated at the ser-
vice held on Aug. 19, at the Betts
Funeral Home in Brussels.
Pallbearers were Glen Johnson,
Paul Cowing, Glen Sellers, Mel
Jerymn, Harry Verbeek,and Ross
Turvey.
Flowerbearers were Kevin Mac-
Farland, Wayne Fischef, Gail Fis-
cher and Angie Fischer.
Interment was at Brussels Ceme-
tery.
In remembrance, donations to a
