Letter Klopp outlines deficit plan Continued from page 4 dollars has been saved through streamlining ministries, using our dollars more wisely and cutting programs. Increased taxes is the second part of the plan to keep the deficit under control. The much publicized social contract is the third part. It is important to this government that we give our workers a voice in these negotiations. Nobody likes to have their wages cut - including me - but in order to preserve the services the Ontario public has come to depend on, cuts are necessary. We will maintain essential services such as education and health care but must do it with fewer dollars. Our government believes that all MPPs should accept the same financial sacrifice we are asking from others in the public sector as a result of the Social Contract Act. Paul Klopp, MPP Huron.
