PAGE 11. 8 local students earn Ontario Scholarships MARIANNE SMITH Marianne graduated from Lis- towel Distrist Secondary School as an Ontario Scholar. She achieved an average of 82.7 percent. Marianne is the daughter of James and Elaine Smith of RR 1 Monkton. A picture of Marianne was unavailable at press time. General MELANIE KNOX Melanie, a Central Huron Sec- ondary School Student, is currently working for the second summer as a senior counselor at the North- wood Easter Seal Camp for dis- abled children near Sesekinika, Ont. She will be attending the Univer- sity of Guelph in the science pro- gram in September. Melanie plans to pursue a career in therapy or counselling. GRANT MARTIN As an Ontario Scholar, Grant Martin attained a 81.3 percent aver- age upon graduation from LDSS, Listowel. Grant is the son of 'Lyle and Bar- bara Martin of RR 1 Ethel. In September, Grant will be attending the University of Guelph to study Environmental Engineer- ing. JENNIFER BROWN Jennifer Brown graduated from LDSS, Listowel with an 81.2 per- cent average and is the daughter of Gerald and Bonnie Brown of RR 1 Listowel. Jennifer will be attending Con- estoga College in Waterloo this fall to study Graphic Design and Advertising. RANDY SHEPERD Randy Sheperd of RR 1 Blyth has graduated from Seaforth Dis- trict High School as an Ontario Scholar. He will be attending the University of Guelph in the Com- puting and Information Science Program. KIMBERLEY HUGHES Kimberley Hughes, 18, is the daughter of Allen and Janice Hugh- es of RR 1 Listowel. She graduated from LDSS, Listowel with a 81.2 percent average. When Kimberley returns from a summer 4-H exchange program to Nova Scotia, she will be attending Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. Rebecca graduated from LDSS, Listowel with an 87.5 percent aver- age. She is the daughter of Dan and Christine Vanderspiegel. ANGELA KLUMPENHOWER Angela Klumpenhower plans to attend Reformed Bible College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As an Ontario Scholar, Angela received an 81.3 percent average at LDSS, Listowel. She is the daugh- ter of Bill and Mary Klumpenhow- er of RR 1 Listowel.
