P , it ut is Est )1:1 t, re in '11 td o. to k, et 10 By Becky Hunt Today we are here to celebrate our final day in Seaforth Public School. We had so many good, and of course a few, bad times. But like some say the bad ones build character. The memories we have, I'm sure, will last a lifetime. How about the time when Drew went down the slide and broke his toes, or while decorating the gym, Naomi hurt her tail bone? Derek, do you remember the lecture you got from Lisa's mom for ripping Lisa's pants? Here's a memory for you, Drew getting hit by a truck not once, but twice, once in grade two and once in grade seven. I'm sure there are many more but, I'll move on. I will remember always trying to be a team and working together and beat the other teams; or trying hard and hoping to get arm bars or those special stickers to fill your certificates? How about the school teams like soccer, volleyball, cross-country or competing in track and field and trying your hardest for a first or second to go to the high school, because you miss a day of school, right? ha ha. The wonderful talent show, we won't even talk about. And those teachers! I'm sure many of us remember doing that one extra lap for walking, or how about the woncl6rful dancing we all loved doing in gym. Mr. Millson, we'll all remember those projects in science, like our little slug homes we took so much pride in making, or our science fair projects that just about drove some of us batty. What about music and those recorders with all our favourites, "Mary had a Little Lamb", "Twinkle, Twinkle" and how about The Muppet Show. Then, there's all our home room teachers, who have helped make these memories possible for if we didn't have these teachers we would not have these memories. The future, not many of us I'm sure, know what lies ahead, except high school. For' us, high school holds many new teachers, class mates and friends. One major thing many of us will have to overcome walking through the front hall and getting called a grub among other things. But, I'm sure we'll get through it, and soon we'll be the ones calling others "grubs". Soon we'll successfully (we hope) be on our way into the big wonderful word. Thanks.
