It's hard to say goodbye, says valedictorian By Kim Jamieson It's so hard to say goodbye. Good evening parents and teachers, guests and friends. I would like to welcome you all to the Hullett Central 1992-93 grade eight graduation. I would like to thank my fellow graduates for letting me represent them here tonight. It is truly a great honour. From our first day of kinder- garten to the last day of grade eight we've spent nine years of our lives making many difficult decisions and changes and I know this is our toughest one yet. It's hard to believe these next few days will be the last that we will all be together. We've all seen friends and classmates come and go but friendships are forever. One thing KIM JAMIESON we've learned ever since kinuer- garten is to set our goals and face our challenges, which has made us what we are today. Many of us can remember the feeling we had the very first day of kindergarten. Seeing all those new faces in a strange place was a little overwhelming for a five-year-old. As time went on new friendships blossomed. In our first years at Hullett we were taught never to be afraid of new things and that everyone makes mistakes and only by making mistakes do we learn. We also found out that school is definitely a challenge. We welcomed many new classmates and friends but also said goodbye to many at the end of grade six.
