The 48th annual Nethery- Leishman reunion was held on Sunday, June 27 at Hullett Central School in Londesboro, with 46 signing the register. Guests were present from Regina, Sask.; Decker, Mich.; Hamilton, Corunna, Bleheim, Clinton, Londesboro, Wingham, Bluevale, Blyth, Belgrave and surrounding district. Ella Ives of Blyth was in charge of the sports, which was enjoyed by all. Following the supper hour, President John Nethery of Corunna conducted the meeting. He announced the deaths during the past year: Grant Bearss, Gordon Nethery, Nathan Wade and Rev. Wm. H. Nethery. A few moments' silence followed in remembrance. Special prizes were awarded by John Nethery to: youngest person O bituaries MARGERY RITCHIE Margery Ritchie passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 1993 at Brae- mar Nursing Home, Wingham in her 83rd year. She was the beloved wife of the late Clifford Ritchie. Left to mourn her passing are her children Gerald Lyddiatt of Calgary, Alta., Gordon Lyddiatt, of Minden and Ruth Krick of Hamilton. Carrying Mrs. Ritchie to her final resting place at Brussels Cemetery were Ross Taylor, Jim Smith Jr., Ivan Wightman, Graeme Craig, Larry Ritchie and Gerald Smith. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ontario Heart and Stoke Foun- dation or Duff's United Church would be appreciated by the family. The 70th Higgins reunion was held Sunday, June 27 in the W.I. Hall, Belgrave, with 64 receiving anniversary ribbons. President Don Higgins welcomed everyone and said grace. A moment's silence was observed in memory of the deceased. A few cousins remembered attending the first reunion in Tumberry township on the sixth concession where Elizah, Joseph and Thomas farmed.
