consideration.
Mr. Koudy wanted to create a
"stimulating "environment that
would help the residents to main-
tain their memory. From his experi-
ence with Parkwood in London, he
said that by allowing the seniors to
use their long-learned skills, such
as gardening, the progress of the
disease seemed to be slowed.
It is necessary to provide the peo-
ple with a safe, yet comfortable
environment.
Mr. Koudy said these projects
were a 'pleasure to work on". The
"landscaping was planned and
thought of " at the beginning of the
project so the entire environment of
the homes were considered.

Personal touch
Pictures on the doors and
personal mementoes in the
room have made the residents
feel right at home following the
move to the new facilities.
Environmentally friendly
Landscape architects said the Huronlea and Huronview
designs were done with the entire environment of the
homes given consideration.
