Prov. Service Officer to visit Brussels Legion

Provincial Service Officer Mel
Harper will be making a visit to the
Brussels Legion on Monday, June
28 at 6:30 p.m. Anyone with
questions about the Veterans
Independent Program, widows'
pensions, disability pensions or any
other related problems, should plan
to attend. For information call the
branch or Ted Elliott.
The Legion will hold Decoration
Sunday Service on June 27 at the
Brussels Cemetery, beginning at
2 p.m.
Following the service, there will
be a short dedication service at the
branch, to dedicate the new
membership boards in the memory
of Comrades J.C. McNeil and
Russel Knight and also for
members and families of Br. 218
who have made donations to the
memorial fund.
Results of the euchre held on
June 9 are as follows: high lady,
Kitty Rutledge; high man, Albert
Quipp; low lady, Erma Brighton;
low man, Isobel Alcock; most lone
hands, Lois Hart and Ross
Brighton; most zeros, Jean Little
and Deb Cann.
The next euchre will be held on
June 23 at 7:45 p.m.
The monthly general meetings at
the branch will be cancelled for the
months of July and August. The
executive meetings will be held on
the third Monday of these months
only. Regular general meetings will
resume in September on Monday,
Sept. 20.
