The many people that were able to attend the day-long activities in the Teeswater Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 5 now have a better idea of what to expect when they hear of a Mission Festival. Sponsored by the members of the Maitland Presbyterial under the leadership of Agnes Bregman and her committee, activities started at 10 a.m. with Vice President Mildred Dickson welcoming everyone and prayer. L. Emmerton gave a presentation on the work of the Queen's Bush Ministry. Musical selections were given by Jean Betts and Eileen Chambers. Margaret and Jake Vanderzweerde, missionaries home from India and Nepal were the principle speakers for the day, telling some of their experiences while working in those countries. The afternoon session was under the leadership of Kathleen Elliott. Rev. Wilson told of the ministry at Project seeks community support Continued from page 10 two different sites which do not meet the demands of the clients or the staff. The need for confiden- tiality and improved service spaces which are child-friendly at a reasonable cost make a 'built- specific', agency-owned facility necessary. The Huron Children's Aid Society Family Resource Centre will be built on McEwan Street in Goderich to address these needs and the needs of other agencies that impact on families and children in Huron County. With a grant from the Ministry of Community and Social Services, the bulldozers have moved onto the site, but the help of the community to assist in funding the total project is needed. To learn more about this exciting project, call the Children's Aid Society at 220 Huckins Street, Goderich, telephone 524-7356. Exeter reeve offers support Continued from page 14 farm and the Vet Lab Services should also be left at Centralia College, as these are part of the students' learning experience. The group also wants to promote the college's conference facilities. The Tri-Municipal group was formed a number of years ago when annexation talks between Grand Bend, Stephen and Bosanquet began. Since then, the group has met regularly to keep lines of communication open. Stephen is in Huron County while Bosanquet and Grand Bend are in Lambton County. The Tri-Municipal Committee formed a sub-committee to study Economic Development, Mr. Tomes explained. He added that the group did not want to encourage industrial growth, as this was being looked after in Huron Park by the Ontario Development Corporation. However, the group was concerned about Centralia College, as it didn't want to see the entire campus closed down, or split up. Reeve Bill Mickle of Exeter offered his support for the plan to seek funding for a feasibility study. Huron Feathers, Sauble Beach where she and her husband work among the vacationers with day camps, teen programs, and Sunday services. Several musical selections were given by students of the Ashfield Sunday School, Eileen Chambers and the McKenchie family of Kincardine. Michael and Sheri each played a piano solo and Jonathan played both the violin and the trumpet. Margaret Vanderzweerde showed slides and had a very interesting commentary of the work in India. Margaret Greig, A.E.C. gave an overview of her work in the area. Set up in the lower part of the church were displays from India and Nepal, Malawi, the Lucknow C.G.I.T., Queen's Bush Ministry, Sleeping Children Around the World, Camp Kintail, Huron Feathers, the Children's Rally as well as W.M.S. Posters and a book display. The evening service was a praise and worship service with President Erlma Haldenby in charge. Rev. Stephen Lindsay welcomed everyone to Knox Church, Teeswater. Again several musical selections were enjoyed by everyone including a sing-song by Lorraine Clugston and Agnes Bregman, the MacDonald Sisters, the S. Kinloss Ladies Trio, the Bushell Family from Kinlough, and the Teeswater Connection. Erlma Haldenby gave the meditation on praise and the singing of "The Day Thou Gayest, Lord is Ended" followed. Agnes Bregman pronounced the benediction. Everyone was invited downstairs for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Erlma announced the fall Presbyterial will be held in Kincardine on Sept. 15 at 5:30 p.m. PaRTIL7PaL77017 IflOVAN"iKorira_efrevsat Moving up!
