Speaker to provide info on manic depression
Dianne Prato, regional co-
ordinator of southwestern Ontario
for the Depressive/Manic Depres-

(DMDAO) will be speaking at
Clinton's OMAF Board Room on
June 17 at 7:30 p.m.
Depressive and manic depressive
illness affects one in 100 people.
Ms Prato will talk about what
depressive/manic depressive illness
is, what some of the causes are and
how episodes can be handled and
prevented. This illness affects not
only sufferers but their families and
friends. It can be handled and a
healthy lifestyle can be achieved,
but this requires available
information and resources. These
two things are unfortunately in
short supply.
This information evening will
talk about the illness, resources
available and the possibility of
starting a support group for those
affected with and by the illness.

illness is one that sends those
inflicted on emotional roller coaster
rides. Some of the world's most
creative artists, writers, politicians
and public figures of this century
and others had the illness.
