meeting at Wellington Place on
Tuesday, June 1.
Pat Salter, area president, con-
ducted the meeting where several
decisions were made concerning
the 54th area convention to be held
in Brussels on Oct. 27, 28.
Permission was granted to Huron
East District to sell their centennial
travelling mug.
Bev Brown will be the guest
speaker using the convention theme
"Yes, We can" at the luncheon on
the Thursday.
The Special Draw will be held
again this year with the tickets
remaining at 10 for $2 with Early
Bird draw results being revealed on
Wednesday evening, Oct. 27 at the
banquet.
Margaret McInroy will be in
charge of this event.

delegates and visitors to the Brus-
sels, Morris & Grey Community
As with many municipalities, the
maintenance of the Morris landfill
site has become a priority. At the
May 18 meeting of Morris council,
Wayne Riley said that the site was
not being care for as well as could
be.
It was suggested, by Councillor
McLellan, that the Elma Waste
Disposal Site be used, as an exam-
ple, for Morris township. It was
agreed that council would look at
the operation.
Council was informed that ani-
mal control has become a problem
on the 6th concession, near Walton.
The animal control officer had
attended the site and stated that the
problem could be wolves as
opposed to dogs.
Two permits were acknowledged
for the township; Glen Sellers,
demolition of a residence located
on Concession 3, Pt. Lot 23;
Richard Moore, building of a sun-
deck at 32 Parker Drive, Belgrave.
An application was made by Glen
Warwick, for a Tile Drain Loan. It
was approved subject to available
funds.
Ministry of Transportation has
approved a grant for the building of
a sidewalk next to Highway No. 4,
in Belgrave.
The Belgrave W.I. will receive
Centre. Mrs. Bruce McCall and
Mrs. James Armstrong will be
looking after the billets for the del-
egates to the convention.
The loony collection for the
Parkhouse project are to be brought
to area convention.
Just a reminder, that all women's
Institute members are encouraged
to attend and help make the con-
vention a success.

Brubacher and Marlin Sauder who
were married on Saturday at Chrys-
talview Mennonite Church in Flo-
radale.
Sympathy is extended to Helen
and Stan Alexander and family on
the recent loss of Helen's brother,
William Beirnes of Listowel.
There were 12 tables of euchre at
the Ethel Hall with the Hall Board
members in charge.
Winners were: high lady, Annie
McCourt; low lady, Margaret
Beirnes; high man, Frank McKen-
zie; low man, Elgin Adams; most
lone hands, Dorothy Hamilton and
Jim Smith; 50/50 draw, George
Pearson.

at 8 p.m.

Unconditional Grants for 1993
would be cut by $8,354.00. These
grants are received from the Min-
istry of Municipal Affairs and
AMO.
It was agreed that a price for the
lawn cutting and the flower bed
maintenance should be received
from Mr. Clarence White by June
1. He should continue the work
until that time.
The necessity for proper fencing
around a manure lagoon will be
investigated by Mr. Joshing, at Lot
24, Concession 5.
