lished in the name of Stephanie Lea
Henry at the June 7 meeting of the

School, who died in a motor acci-
dent in January of this year.
The award is to be called 'The
Stephanie Lea Henry Memorial

pay for the taxes.
Still, Mrs. Pipe said, it wouldn't
be worth doing a supplementary
budget and tax billing to try to
recover some of the extra costs.
With potential budget problems
in mind, councillors decided to
hold back on paving of one block
of street for the time being. Council
did award the contract for paving
portions of Church and John St. to
Lavis Contracting of Clinton for a
total cost of $15,325. The company

left in the original road budget to
do another block of paving but

Students see
`Oliver'
By John Lowe •
The Huron County Playhouse
presents "Oliver". The grade seven
and eights went to the Huron
Country Playhouse near Grand
Bend to see the production of
"Oliver" The lead was played by
13-year-old Aidan De Salaiz who
has a voice that is loud and clear.
It was an excellent two-and-a
half hour show.
Aidan goes to school at the St.
Mary's Boys' Choir School in
London. He also starred in the play
'The Christmas Carol" and a few
more plays at London's Grand
Theatre. He also was in some more
plays in Ontario.
BOWLING
Students went to the Goderich
bowling lanes. It was a lot of fun.
Lesley Stretton had the best score
with 250 points and runner up was
Mrs. Carr with 217 points.
At the bowling alley they have
computer scoring. They have a
booth and bar. Some people took
advantage of the arcade. All in all
we spent about an hour and a half
having a lot of fun.
McDONALD'S
By Tyler Seeds
Grade sevens and eights went to
McDonald's for supper after
bowling. Most of us had the "Big
Mac Extra Value Meal" which only
costs $4.35.
This McDonald's was very busy
but for being so busy the service
was excellent!!
THE BAND
By Lesley Elliott
At exactly 8:30 on June 1 two
buses started off on the grade seven
and eight mystery tour. One of the
busses was stopping at Hensall, but
Mrs. Perrie was laughing and
wouldn't tell us where they were
headed.
The bus I was on was the music
bus. It was headed to Exeter
School. The band was going to do
a performance. When we got there
we unloaded the bus and set up our
instruments.
We played The Swan March,
Anasazi, Westwind Overture and
Old MacDonald's Band.
I thought this was one of our best
performances. I know everyone
had a lot of fun.
