His sermon was based on Acts 1: 1- 21, and he spoke on the significance of Pentecost to Christians as individuals. A drama team from Milverton also gave a message at the service in Brussels. Pastor Tom Warner was preaching at Crosshill as part of the Brussels People Ilan Scott from Aldwinkle, Kettering, England passed away on May 18, 1993. Mennonites hear guest pastor Brussels School news Band visits schools MAY WRAP-UP Recently, Brussels Public School, held its annual track and field day. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and several students have already been chosen to represent B.P.S. at the Howick track meet on Thursday, June 3. On Friday, the Brussels school band, enjoyed a fun filled day at Howick school, learning new songs and joining with the Howick band to produce a great performance for the Howick students. On Tuesday, June 1, the Brussels grade seven and eight students will be going to Exeter, where the school band, will play for the Exeter school students. They will then leave Exeter, to go to a theatre The regular meeting of Morning Star Rebekah Lodge took place on Tuesday, May 25 with Lillian Moses P.N.G. acting as Noble Grand. This meeting was designated as Past Noble Grand night and most of the chairs were filled by Past Noble Grands, who took charge of the entire meeting. A donation was made to the in Grand Bend to see the musical play Oliver. After the play, the rest of the day will be spent on a "Mystery Tour", a series of fun events known only by the teachers. The students will return to B.P.S. at 8:30 p.m. Child Guard representatives have processed identification cards for about 80 students and preschoolers at B.P.S. over the past two weeks. They were very pleased with the positive response. The three primary classes of Ms Anonech, Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Uhler sent a cheque for $82.32 to the World Wildlife Fund to preserve the rainforest. The money was raised through their recent popcorn sale.
