Sheila and David Ganoe
Couple weds in Waterloo
BACHERT - GANOE
Sheila Janette Bachert and David
Paul Ganoe were united in
marriage Sept. 19, 1992 at the
University of Waterloo with
William Aiken officiating.
The bride is the daughter of
Keith and Janet Bachert, Walton,
and the groom is the son of
William and Joann Ganoe, Wiley
Ford, West Virginia.
The bride wore a floor length
sheath-style satin gown of her own
design. Serving as matron-of-
honour was the bride's sister Sherri
McKinley, Shakespeare. Brides-
maids were sisters and sisters-in-
law, Shirlee Bachert, Walton;
Shellie Bachert, Cumberland, Md.;
Wendy Sue Bachert, Walton; and
Mary Ganoe, West Virgina.
Acting as best man was Bill
Ganoe, brother of the groom,
Manchester, Connecticut. Ushers
were Michael Bachert, Cumber-
land, Md.; Marvin Bachert, Walton,
brothers of the bride; Dan Hardy,
Welland, Ont.; and Scott Slider,
Oldtown, Md.
Mark Bachert acted as host and
Philip McKinley as master of
ceremonies.
A honeymoon trip was spent
touring the Smokey Mountain
States and they now reside in
Ridgely, West Virginia.

ARCHIE WILLIS
Archie Willis of Brussels died
Sunday, May 23, 1993 at Wingham
and District Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of
Mabel McWhirter and loving father
of Sharon and Kelly Dalton of Lon-
desboro; Wayne and Lucy Willis of
Edmonton, Alberta; Paul McCal-
lum of Walton and Donna and
Stanley McClure of Walton.
He was the loved grandfather of
nine grandchildren. Also surviving
Mr. Willis are his brothers, Gibson
of Brussels, Jack of Burlington and
Tom of Brantford and a sister,
Mary Bone of Brussels.
He was predeceased by a sister,
Donalda Pearson and a brother,
Donald.
The funeral service was yester-
day (Tuesday) at Betts Funeral
Home in Brussels. Interment was at
Brussels Cemetery. Pallbearers
were Ken White, Willis Knight,
Murray Bone, Bob Pearson and
Jamie and Jason Dalton. Flower-
bearers were Cindy McCallum,
Colleen McCallum, Kelly-Ann
Dalton and Tina McClure
The Royal Canadian Legion,
Branch 218 in Brussels, conducted
a memorial service Monday night.
RUSSELL I. WILSON
World War I veteran, Russell I.
Wilson of Blyth, died May 17,
1993 at Wingham and District Hos-
pital. He was 97.
He was a life member of Blyth
Royal Canadian Legion Branch
#420 and a member of the Blyth
Masonic Lodge AF. and AM. 303.
Mr. Wilson was also a member of
Blyth United Church and was a
retired farmer.
Mr. Wilson was born in East
Wawanosh Twp. to James and Eliz-
abeth Wilson. He married Amanda
Watson who predeceased him. He
was also predeceased by one son,
Arnold Bowes, one sister, Luella
Gow and one brother, George Wil-
son.
Surviving him are his children,
Olive and Bodie Craig of RR 2,
Blyth, his step-children Reta (Mrs.
John Blake) of Blyth and Irvin
Bowes of Blyth, and a sister, Mae
McArthur of Sebringville.
The funeral was held May 19 at
the Beattie-Falconer Funeral Home
at 2 p.m. He was buried at Blyth
Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were
Paul. Craig, Mark Homyak, Vernon
Bromley, John Brush, Ivan Blake
and Lloyd McDowell. Flower bear-
ers were Bruce Cooper, John Elliott
and Robert McInnes.
TONY de BOER
Tony de Boer of RR 1, Blyth
died May 18 at his home. He was
65.
The former Hullett Twp. farmer
was born in Leens, Holland to
Wrister and Marchiena de Boer.
He married Sally Slopsema who
lives to mourn him. Also surviving
are their children, Mary and Gary
Schultz of RR 1, Blyth; Fred and
Rose de Boer of Blyth; Jake and
Irene de Boer of London; Gary and
Glenda de Boer of RR 1, Londes-
boro and Margaret and Albert
Roetcisoender of Brussels.
He is also survived by two broth-
ers, Gerrit and Elze de Boer of Hol-
land and 13 grandchildren.
Mr. de Boer was a member of the
Blyth Christian Reformed Church.
He rested at the Beattie-Falconer
Funeral Home in Blyth. A funeral
service was held May 21 at the
Blyth Christian Reformed Church
with Rev. Gerrit Heersink officiat-
ing.
Interment was at Blyth Union
cemetery. Pallbearers were Peter
and Tony Uyl, John Wesselink,
Hielke Roetcisoender, Mervyn
Datema and Ken Shortreed

daughter of John and Maureen
McClinchey of Blyth and
Christopher William Charles
Reeves, son of George and Gloria
Reeves of Holmesville, formerly of
Seaforth, on Saturday, May 22,
1993 with Rev. C. A. Stadelbauer-
Sampa officiating.
The maid-of-honour was Keri
Jerome of Clinton, friend of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Sandra
Claessens of St. Columban, friend
of the bride and Karrie McClinchey
of Blyth, sister of the bride.
The best man was Jeff Medd of
Newlyweds live in London
Stacy and Christopher Reeves
Seaforth, friend of the groom. The
ushers were Mike MacLean and
Jeff Alce of Seaforth, friends of the
groom. The organist was Marian
Rose.
A horse and carriage driven by
Graham Jackson, formerly of
Blyth, awaited the bride and groom
prior to the church ceremony.
Dinner was served at the Seaforth
Legion, Branch 156. Master of
Ceremonies was Dale Smith of
Kitchener, friend of the bride and
groom. A wedding reception was
held at the Seaforth Community
Centre.
The couple will reside in London
following a honeymoon in the
United States.
