Brussels man
loses license
A 20-year-old Brussels-area man
lost his license for 12 months after
pleading guilty to a charge of
impaired driving, in Wingham's
provincial court, May 19.
Jason Breckenridge appeared
before presiding Judge R.G.E.
Hunter regarding an incident which
occurred at County Road 16 in
Morris Twp. near Highway 4 at
11:20 p.m. on April 25. Attorney
for the trown Alan Mills told the
court that Mr. Breckenridge had
been travelling north on Highway 4
before turning onto the County
road. Const. Schute of the Wing-
ham OPP was approaching the
intersection and turned to follow
Mr. Breckenridge after noticing
that he was driving "erratically".
Mr. Breckenridge pulled onto the
shoulder without the officer turning
on his lights, Mr. Mills said.
Observing visible signs of
impairment, Mr. Breckenridge was
asked by Const. Schute to take a
breathalizer test which he failed
with readings of 190 and 200.
Mr. Breckenridge has no previ-
ous record.
In addition to losing his license
Judge Hunter fined him $750 or 35
days.

dramatic presentation telling the
story of Mary and Martha, was
enjoyed.

the prospect of putting an elevator
into the church, to provide proper
access to the sanctuary. A
committee is diligently investigat-
ing costs and procedure, and soon
will report to the congregation for
its decision.
Have you missed the Presbyter-
ian chimes? Everyone is working
hard to get them ringing out to
Brussels once again.

greeted by: Rick and Marg
Mclnroy, Diane Huether and Ethel
Brewer, Barry and Sharon Bondi

Shaw. Elders assisting in May and

remembrance. A swimming party
and barbecued hot dogs follow at
the Brussels pool.
As the summer approaches the
congregation looks forward to the
shared worship experience with the
Brussels United Church family.

and August 1st, and then at the
United Church for the rest of
August and September. Melville
