Huron-Perth Youth Council is
sponsoring a trip to Wonderland on
June 24. Only secondary school
students are eligible. Cost for the
day is $30. Call Rev. Ross to
register. Sunday School pancake
breakfast is on Sunday, June 6 from
9:30 to 10:45 a.m. and after the
service from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m.
Cost is adults, $3; children, $2 and

Cancer campaign raises $1,195
The Auburn campaign for the
Cancer Society and community has
been completed and $1,195.50 plus
$150 from the sale of daffodils
was realized. The community's
generosity is appreciated. The
canvassers, who volunteered their
time were: Ethel Ball, Maureen
Bean, Grace Cartwright, Evelyn
Christenson, Carol and Edgar Daer,
Jane Glousher, Kay Lapp, Carole
McDowell, Dorothy Schneider,
Marilyn Verbeek, Ann Vincent,
Doreen Wilson, Ernie Dumin, Bert
Moss and Frances Clark.
WIVIS studies good dollar sense
The Auburn Horticultural
meeting was held on Monday, May
10 at 8 p.m. at the Community Hall
with a large attendance.
President Ann Vincent welcomed
all. 0 Canada was sung with
Marjorie McDougall as pianist. The
minutes were read by Secretary
Dorothy Grange and Ell Lapp gave
the treasurer's report.
The business was flowers beds,
Manchester Gardens and the
hillside project. Maurice Bean
spoke on the hillside work. Park
benches were discussed. Dorothy
Grange gave a report of the District
Annual that was held at Hensall.
The "Rose Tea" is to be held at the
Community Hall on Saturday, June
19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Sympathy
Sympathy is extended to the Van
Deen family and relatives on the
death of Mrs. John Van Deen last
week.
Sympathy is extended to Ell and
Kay Lapp and family and relatives
on the death of his mother Mrs. F.
Lapp of St. Thomas last week.
The May meeting of the Auburn
Presbyterian W.M.S. was held at
the home of Martha Daer. The
devotional period was taken by
Frances Clark. The 91st Psalm was
read alternately. The meditation
was on the first verse of the Psalm.
Martha gave the study entitled
"Good Sense with Dollars".
