United on May 2.
The choir's anthem was 'There'll
be Sunshine in the Morning' (and
there was).
This was pulpit exchange Sunday
with Rev. Banks and Rev. Albert
Cook from Whitechurch trading

playing a little game with the
children. From the game the
children learned that no matter
what we are, we're always loved
and valued by God.
Chris Eckel read the Minute for
Missions.
Rev. Cook's sermon was titled 'A
New Exhilaration,' based on John
2: 1-12 — the wedding feast, he
talked about some of the
preparations of weddings in this
day and age and in Bible days. In
Jesus' day, weddings would take
place in the fall after harvest and
would last for days, while much
food and wine were enjoyed.
Jesus is there for us and can give
us new life, all we need to do is
ask.
Ushers for the month of May are
Howard Hackwell, Chris Eckel and
Bill Coutts.
U.C.W. will meet Wednesday,
May 5 at 8 p.m. in the church.

Grade Two/Three Class
On April 20, students planted
four trees. Grade two/three went
out and it started to storm. First, a
big gray cloud came along. Then it
started to rain and hail. It came so
fast everyone got soaked. Darryl
Houston, Darrell McClure and
Scott McDonald volunteered to
stay out and finish planting the tree.
The rest of the class ran back into
the school. They'll remember the
tree for a long time.
The children in Mrs. Bennett's
grade one/two class enjoyed an
informative trip to McGavin's Farm
Equipment Dealership on April 22.
