Create A Lasting Impression
With New Topform Foam Perm
What makes Topform so remarkable? It starts
with an exclusive new foam formula,
designed to create longer lasting more even
waves with a gentler combination of natural
ingredients than ever before.
The innovation doesn't stop there. A
complete system has been developed to
ensure that you achieve the most successful
perm results possible.
Topform Foam Perm's gentle foam formula
releases its active ingredients to the hair
slowly over 15 minutes or more. So unlike
perms which are applied all at once within
two to three minutes, the revolutionary foam
process gradually and more thoroughly
saturates the inner, more porous parts from
scalp to ends, requiring less contact with the
reducing agent. The result: bouncy, luxurious
waves with less risk of irritation to you and
your client.
Once you experience Topform Foam Perm - no other
perm product offers you so many advantages.

THE CITIZEN, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 28, 1993. PAGE 3.
A gathering of some 400 people
were on hand to help Doris and
George Cowan celebrate their gold-
en anniversary in Blyth Communi-
ty Centre on Saturday, April 24.
The Cowans married at St. John's
Anglican Church, in Brussels on
April 24, 1943. Rev. Oldham was
the officiating pastor. Attending the
bride, who was a daughter of Lewis
and Adina (Smith) Armstrong of
Morris Township, was Mary (Ire-
land) McCall. The groom, who was
a son of George and Edith (Augus-
tine) Cowan of East Wawanosh
Township was attended by Benson
Augustine Cowan.
Following the ceremony the new-
lyweds took a honeymoon trip to
Niagara Falls and area.
Their first home was in Dungan-
non where Mr. Cowan was school
principal. For 39 years he was
employed as a teacher, principal,
inspector and superintendent. His
wife, throughout these years, he
says, "was the perfect homemaker
and mother."
Following his retirement from
education in 1978, Mr. Cowan,
went immediately into the lay pas-
toral ministry of the United Church.
Since then he and his wife have
served in full-time ministry at
parishes in Saskatchewan, Dungan-
non, Nile, Blyth, Hensall, Fullarton
and Stratford and in Kent Pres-
bytery at Thamesville and Dresden.
He retired from full-time ministry
in 1990 to Sunday pulpit supply or
anniversaries.
The Cowan's spare time is now
spent at their Morris Township
farm.
Parents of four, George Edward
(Ted), Gregory Smith, Kenneth
Randall and Kathleen Marguerite
(Myers), the Cowans now enjoy
spending time with their 14 grand-
children and two great-grandchil-
dren as well as travelling.
The Cowans are grateful for the
many people, all of whom are
either family members or friends
from the various churches they
have served, who were on hand to
make their 50th anniversary a truly
golden occasion. Special guests
travelled from Vancouver, Toronto,
Sacre-Coeur (Quebec), Iowa, Texas
and Georgia.

Vet Clinic
By Mandy Machan
The North Huron Vet Club held
its second meeting on April 22 at
the Blyth Vet Clinic.
Lavern Clark showed the
respiratory system of a dog and
pointed out the different parts of it.
He talked about noses and how we
smell. Also, he said, if an animal
can't smell, then it doesn't eat or it
eats very little.
Members were then taken out
back to look at calves and talk
about their respiratory systems.
