Don Cook's fish-out pond near Belgrave was a hubbub of activity Saturday when the 1st
Fullarton and 1st Kirkton Beavers, Cubs and Scouts journeyed over for a fun day of fishing.
Despite the snow and cold weather, the scouts had a great time on this annual fishing trip and
caught close to 100 fish, such as the one Ryan Smith of St. Paul's displays here with Mr.
Cook. Still waiting for a nibble were fishermen Andy DeVries (centre, dark glasses) and Arand
Otten (far right).

Flea market opens
in Wingham
Another sure sign of spring has
arrived in Wingham with the
announcement that the North
Huron Flea and Farmers' Market
will reopen Saturday, April 24. The
market is located at the north end
of Wingham, on the B line, just
west of Highway 4, beside the
Bavarian Deli Packers facility.
This marks the second year of
operation for the market which, at
its peak last summer, attracted
close to 40 vendors.
Spokesperson Hans Mayer says
response from vendors so far this
season has been excellent, but there
is still some space available.
Anyone interested in taking part in
the market is asked to call 357-
1705.
The market runs every Saturday
from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The Mission Study by Dorothy
Coultes was a review of the
weekend spent in a farm house near
Forest by the Belgrave charge of
Knox United Church. Communi-

Rev. Peter Tucker, Dorothy Coultes
and Yvonne Coultes. The-unoccu-

The weekend proved rewarding
for the young people who were
away from home and friends. The
trend of conversation, at the meals,
followed religious lines. The meals
consisted of foods purchased and
prepared by the class — a new
experience for the majority of
them.
This weekend venture was new
to all attendants. Various discus-
sions revealed their ideas of God;
the death of friends, control by God
or humans. Questions, in writing
were answered by each, collected,
then redistributed and the answers
read and discussed.

and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Cousins of
Guelph.
A flower arrangement placed in
the church schoolroom by Mrs.
Alice Scott added a touch of spring
to the afternoon U.C.W. meeting,
held on April 12.
In the absence of the president,
Mrs. Audrey Fenton and the
secretary, Mrs. Helen Martin, these
offices were filled by Mrs. Dorothy
Coultes and Mrs. Olive Bolt
respectively.
Following the reading of the
minutes, which were accepted and
the reading of the correspondence,
it was decided that the Evening
Unit of the U.C.W. be asked to plan
and conduct the "80 years and over'
birthday party" in 1993. This
motion carried.
Mrs. Dorothy Coultes presented
the worship service which had been
prepared by Mrs. Edith Vincent,
who was absent. Two verses of
"The Old Rugged Cross" were
sung with piano accompaniment. A
meditation on the "Reality of the
Resurrection" was read, followed
