Carol Long reported the sighting
of the first robin. Our feathered
promise of springtime was spied in
her backyard on Friday, March 26.
The third meeting of the Brussels I
4H Stitchery Club was held at
Kathy Bridge's on March 8. Jacquie
Seili did a demonstration on
colours and rooms that different
colours blended in to. Members
continued working on their cross
stitch project.
Mrs. Bridge handed out duo
tangs. The meeting closed with the
4H motto.
Adult volunteers for The Ark met
together on Sunday evening
Nancy Coyne was named volun-
teer of the month for her time and
dedication. She received a plant.

Members of local government were given the opportunity last Thursday evening to get an
peek at the new Huronlea facility in Morris Township at the south edge of Brussels. Tour

election of the 1993-1994 officers.
All voting members are urged to
attend this meeting. The
nominations will begin at 8 p.m.

celebrates
90th
Mary Yuill, Maplewood Manor,
Seaforth, celebrated her 90th
birthday March 25 with a cake a:
Maplewood Manor, which was
enjoyed with the other residents.
Then in the afternoon, she went to
the home of her daughter, Jean
Bewley in Brussels where she was
joined for supper by Isabel, Bill,
Keith, Emily and Leanne Elston,
and Jim Bowman.
Mary also celebrated the
weekend before at Jean's with
granddaughters Brenda Raven,
Irricana, Alta. and Mary Baker,
Nobleton, Ont. and great-grandsons
Kevin, Mark and Matthew Baker.
