Grader rates remain the same
The news from
Greeters at Londesboro United
Church on Sunday, March 21 were
Lorne and Addie Hunking. Ushers
were Kent Shillinglaw, Lawrence
Bergsma, Todd and Scott
Shaddick. The choir sang an
anthem. The new elders and
stewards were installed. The
sermon topic was "Surprise".
Many old neighbours and friends
gathered to be part of Margery
Ritchie's sale March 17 at the
Brussels arena where a lot of good
visiting and bidding took place.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Blake who celebrated 58 years
of marriage March 16.
Two well attended showers were
held for Dianne Williamson. One
was held at the library in Brussels
March 19 and one at the home of
Dorothy Williamson March 14.
Around 15 people showed up at
the hall to learn about Decor
Accents. The group made boxes
and covered them with fabric.
Interior designer and Rural Voice
columnist Kendra Krauter then
talked about wall treatment. She
showed various pictures on how to
balance a wall using wall hangings,
wreaths, etc.
Keith Wilbee had unexpected
visitors March 20 as neighbours
Sacrament of Baptism will be
celebrated next Sunday.
The Sunday School held a
crokinole party on Wednesday,
March 17 at the church. There were
seven tables in play.
Winners were: high girl, Amanda
Anderson; high boy, Jeff Johnston;
most 20's boys, Kevin Trewartha;

and roll call was answered. The
financial report was given.
Margaret had a contest for St.
Patrick's Day, which was won by
Beth Knox. June had a St. Patrick's
Day contest, which was won by
Vietta Hoggart.

celebrate his 40th birthday. JoAnn
McDonald made a special cake for
the occasion and he received many
humorous cards and gifts.
Friends from Seaforth, Brussels
and Walton gathered at the home of
Emmerson and Phyllis Mitchell to
help Kathleen Cuthill celebrate her
80th birthday.
Mildred Blake fell and broke her
hip Saturday. At the time of writing
she was in Clinton Hospital. Your
friends in Walton wish you the
best.

Friday evening, March 19. There
were 13 tables.

Evelyn Christenson, Lillian
Leatherland, Roy Krauter, Elva
Cox and Ted Fothereill.
Rates for off-road grader work
will remain at last year's levels
Hullett council decided at their
March 16 meeting.
The 1992 rates for the township
grader are $44 per hour with a $16
minimum fee.
Council hired Lana Goodchild to
perform the duties of animal con-
trol officer for a trial period of six
months as of March 16. She will be
paid $25 per call plus mileage. Her
duties are mainly to pick up stray
does.
Councillors decided to extend the
agreement for the presence of a
mobile home on Lot 40, Conc. 14
for one year as of May 1, 1993. Cheerio members read poem
The March meeting of the
Cheerio Club was held at the home
of Margaret Good on Wednesday
afternoon, March 17. There were
10 members present. Margaret
welcomed everyone, then read a
poem, "The World is Mine".
