Ivey Cloakey hosts WMS meeting
The W.M.S. had its meeting on
Monday, Jan. 22 at the home of
Mrs. Ivey Cloakey.
Mrs. Alice Nicholson opened
with a call to worship, "More Love
to Thee 0 Christ" was read in
unison. Mrs. Marg Siertsema read a
meditation on "God Is Love" and
Mrs. Dalrymple read one on Love.
Mrs. Cloakey led in prayer.
Mrs. Siertsema gave the
secretary's report and Mrs. Cloakey
gave the treasurer's report. Mrs.
Nicholson gave a report on the
work by the moderator, Linda J.
Bell from her writings in the
Presbyterian Record.
Mrs. Siertsema read a poem. The
roll call was answered by a bible
verse on Love. The collection was
received and dedicated. "0 Love
That Will Not Let Me Go" was
read and Mrs. Nicholson closed
with prayer.

Tuckers undertake new duties in Elliot Lake
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Lamont of
London spent the weekend with his
parents Mr. and Mrs. James
Lamont. They also visited with Mr.
Nine tables were in play at the
weekly euchre held in the W.I. Hall
Belgrave, Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Winners were: high lady, Mrs.
Jean Pattison; second high, Mrs.
and Mrs. Mike Cottrill, Shawn,
Christopher and Matthew.
Miss Catherine Minick, who is
attending the Carlington University

Olive Bolt; lucky card, Mrs. Robert
Grasby; high man, Oscar Schefter;
second high, Lloyd Appleby; low
man, Tom Pfeiffer and lucky card,
George Johnston.
at Ottawa, spent a few days this
past week with her grandmother,
Mrs. Ruby Hanna.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Anderson
visited on Sunday with their
daughter and son-in-law Mr. and
Mrs. Doug Cousins of Guelph.
Visitors on the weekend with
Mrs. Sarah Anderson were her
daughter and son-in-law Mr. and
Mrs. William Schreiber of Miltor,
and her sister Mrs. Clara Black of
Campbellville.
As of July I Rev. Peter and
Eleven tables were in play for the
shoot party which was held Friday,
Feb. 26 in the Belgrave Commun-
ity Complex. It was sponsored by
the Senior Club.
Winners were: high lady, Mrs.
Albert Cook; low lady, Mrs. Mabel
Nancy Tucker will be undertaking
new duties at Holy Trinity United
Church Elliot Lake, Ontario.
Wheeler; ladies' most shoots, Mrs.
Nell Johnston; ladies' novelty, Mrs.
Helen Martin; high man, John
King; low man, Mrs. Kay Rich
(playing as a man); men's most
shoots, Stanley Black; men's
novelty, Alvin Procter.

Jumping for joy
Students at East Wawanosh Public School were jumping
for joy at the chance to get out in the sunshine for the
school's winter carnival. Among the competitions was this
relay that required students to jump through a hoop.

Lloyd Sippel gave Minute for
Missions. The service closed with
hymn, "What a Friend We Have in
Jesus" followed by prayer,
benediction and choral response.
