Dancing dolls
Students at Hullett Central Public School were taught how to make old-fashioned wooden
dolls dance by George Beith of Massey (near Ottawa), a member of the Huron Performing
Arts Group. Working the wooden dolls are (seated, left to right) Amanda Avery, Lisa Carter
and Elizabeth McGregor. Mr. Beith was dressed like a trapper to lend authenticity to the latter
part of his show which included readings of poems by Robert Service, famous for the poem
the Cremation of Sam McGee.
