A demonstration meeting for a
new Toastmasters club in Clinton
will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday,
March 2, at the Wesley-Willis
United Church, 52 Victoria St. in
Clinton.
Toastmasters International is a
non-profit educational organization
which helps men and women
develop skills in communication
and leadership. The Clinton club
will join 130 others in Toastmasters
District 60 which includes the
greater part of Ontario. There are
more than 7,000 clubs in 50
countries throughout the world.
The demonstration meeting will
be presented by members of
Toastmaster clubs from Brussels,
Elmira, Listowel and London. The
new club will be sponsored by the
Maitland Motivators Toastmaster
club of Brussels.
"I feel a Toastmaster club
presents an opportunity for people
within this community to develop
skills and confidence in public
speaking" said Pat Tweddle, one of
the organizers.
All interested persons are
welcome to attend the
demonstration meeting. Reserva-
