IN
MEMORIAM
JACKSON. In loving memory of
Kenneth Allen Jackson who left us
so suddenly on February 10, 1983:
So many changes there have been
Within our family
Since you were called away,
But, still, for every one of us
Your memory is as bright and clear
As if it was just yesterday.
— Always loved and missed so
much until we can all be together
again by Grandma Allen. 06-1
MARKS. In loving memory of a
dear granddaughter, Charlene, who
passed away eleven years ago
February 12, 1982.
Dear is the grave, where our
darling is laid,
Sweet is the memory that never
will fade.'
Her little soul, so pure and sweet,
Will blossom at the Saviour's feet.
No one heard the footsteps
Of the angels drawing near,
Who took from us to Heaven
The one we loved so dear.
No hand so soft and gentle
No heart so tender, true
No sorrow life could bring us
To equal losing you.
Far and oft our thoughts do wander
To a grave not far away.
Where they laid our darling baby
Just 11 years ago today.
— Sadly missed by Grandpa and
Grandma Marks. 06-lp
CARDIFF. In loving memory of
my husband, Mack Cardiff, who
passed away one year ago.
Upright and just in all his ways
Loyal and true through all his days.
Silently suffered, patiently bore
Till God took him home to suffer
no more.
Sadly missed by his wife,
Thelma. 06-1

Municipalities
reach Huronlea
fire agreement
The issue of fire protection for
Huronlea, the Huron County home
for the aged in Morris Township at
the edge of Brussels, has apparently
been finally settled.
In the long run, the solution was
to go back to where the negotia-
tions started, Brussels councillors
learned at their Feb. 2 meeting.
They passed a bylaw rescinding
three bylaws passed in September.
The difficulty arose because Morris
township has an agreement with
Blyth and District Fire Department
to cover the southern half of the
Board to
explore funding
Continued from page 7
al Services Committee said there
was nothing final in the motion.
Warden Tom Tomes explained the
motion just allowed the Board to
explore what funding might be
available from the province for the
renovation project. Both the
Library board and the Board of
Health, which also might occupy
part of the building, have applied to
their respective provincial min-
istries to see if there is money
available, he said. Any funding
",from the province would only be
available for county-owned build-
ings, he said.
