A steering committee headed by
Paul Carroll is being formed to
consider establishing a district
health council (DHC) in Huron
County, Health Minister Frances
Lankin and Paul Klopp, MPP for
Huron, announced recently.
Mr. Carroll is currently
superintendent of business and
operational affairs for the county's
board of education and chair of its
health and social services co-
ordination committee. An active
participant in community services,
he has been teacher, vice-principal

the area and reeve and councillor of
the town of Goderich.
His first task as chair will be to
recommend members to serve on
the steering committee. They will
be chosen from among health care
providers, consumers and represen-
tatives of local government.
Huron and Perth Counties are the
only areas of the province without a
DHC. A steering committee for
Perth County with Jeff Wilbee as
chair has already been announced.
Ms Lankin said the two
committees will be given a
mandate to determine through
public consultation whether their

Continued from page 11
Once again the steady shutout
goaltending of Michael de Jong
was a factor as Blyth advanced to
the 'C' division final with this 2- 0
whitewash.
In the final Blyth played their
most entertaining game of the year
as they went end to end with Arthur
from the opening face-off until the
final buzzer. The teams traded
goals throughout but Arthur scored
the final one for a 4-3
Championship win.
