Hullett Township council appointed Joe Gibson as their rep- resentative to the Ausable-Bayfield Conservation Authority at their Dec. 15 meeting. Mr. Gibson will be a joint repre- sentative for Hullett and McKillop Townships and Seaforth for the 1993 term. Council did not approve the Seaforth Fire Area Board budget. The budget had placed a 1992 sur- plus in a separate capital equipment reserve fund but council felt any surplus revenue should be placed in the 1993 operating budget. In other council news, council- lors agreed to discontinue support- ing the village fireworks display after survey results indicated the village did not want it. An application for a salvage yard license located on Part Lot 85 to Part Lot 87, Lot 88 to Lot 90 from Chamney Sanitation Ltd. was approved for the year 1993. Council then agreed to pay Chamney Sanitation $5,200 per annum plus GST for Londesboro garbage collection for 1993,1994 and 1995. The clerk was instructed to corre- spond with the Blyth-Hullett lane- fill committee requesting that the costs incurred in purchasing a truck to haul steel and the refurbishment to make it functional be split 50-50 as a capital purchase.
