over a visiting Zurich team on Jan.
2.
Cory Campbell put the home
team on the board at 12:38 with
assists going to David Proulx and
Jason Kellington. Zurich tied things
up one minute later, then Proulx
got the assist on the second Brus-
sels goal with the point going to
Clint Fischer. Trevor Wilson
scored a pair with assists going to
Kevin Mutter, Mike Cooper, Fisch-
er and Finch giving Brussels a three
point spread. Then with 37 seconds
remaining Fischer nudged in anoth-
er off a play by Campbell.
Zurich hit the board first in the
second only to have Mutter drive
home the sixth for the home team
with help from Cooper. Fischer got
his hat trick just a minute and a half
later, unassisted. Zurich ended the
scoring for the second with 4:24
remaining.
The third period got off to a slow
start with both teams unable to drop
in a goal. Then at 5:47 Zurich nar-
rowed the edge, but Banks set up
Campbell, for his second goal of
the game. Wilson became the sec-
ond player to score a hat trick when
Kellington set up the puck for his
goal at 3:22 to finish the game at
9-4 for Brussels.
Special mention goes to goalie
Stephen Oldfield for his job in net.
