Cory Campbell put the home team on the board at 12:38 with assists going to David Proulx and Jason Kellington. Zurich tied things up one minute later, then Proulx got the assist on the second Brus- sels goal with the point going to Clint Fischer. Trevor Wilson scored a pair with assists going to Kevin Mutter, Mike Cooper, Fisch- er and Finch giving Brussels a three point spread. Then with 37 seconds remaining Fischer nudged in anoth- er off a play by Campbell. Zurich hit the board first in the second only to have Mutter drive home the sixth for the home team with help from Cooper. Fischer got his hat trick just a minute and a half later, unassisted. Zurich ended the scoring for the second with 4:24 remaining. The third period got off to a slow start with both teams unable to drop in a goal. Then at 5:47 Zurich nar- rowed the edge, but Banks set up Campbell, for his second goal of the game. Wilson became the sec- ond player to score a hat trick when Kellington set up the puck for his goal at 3:22 to finish the game at 9-4 for Brussels. Saturday night the Bulls played the best game of their season defeating the Patriots in Mt. Forest by a 7-1 score. Steve Fritz led the attack with a one goal two assists effort while Greg McNevan, Brad Carter, Brian Zabel, Nate Bender, Jeff Coulter and Jason Camm added singles. Brussels led 1-0 after 20 minutes and 5-0 after 40 minutes while holding Mt. Forest to 10 shots. Trevor Fortune lost his shutout bid with under six minutes remaining while the Bulls were playing two men shorthanded. Sunday afternoon Brussels scored six unanswered third period goals for an 11-3 win over the Goderich Sailors. Greg McNevan enjoyed a two goal six point game with Steve Fritz, Jeff McKee and Josh Alexander also scoring two goals each. Singles were added by Brad Carter, Tim Beyer and Jason Baier. The Bulls, with period leads of 4- 1 and 5-3, scored six powerplay goals while outshooting Goderich 58-24. A week ago Sunday the Hanover Barons broke open a third period tie with four consecutive goals enroute to a 6-4 victory over the Bulls. Brussels, trailing 2-1 after the first period despite an opening goal by Jeff McKee, tied the score midway through the game on a Jeff Coulter goal. The game remained deadlocked to the five minute mark of the final period when Hanover clicked four times in the next nine minutes. Jeff Coulter set up Nate Bender and Tim Beyer in the dying minutes for a final 6-4 Baron win.
