Frank Alton mentioned that 200 adults and 30 children had registered but there were about 40 families who should be contacted to have an accurate count for the barbe4e. He also stated that Marian,Zinn had taken the slides of the Memorial Stone which will be used when the memorial stone is dedicated. Clayton Alton reported the cemetery plots at Dungannon Cemetery cannot be sold unless they find the deed for them. ErnestEatonbrought forth a 4 x 8 Alton flag made from the family coat of arms. The crest will be hung at the front of the school auditorium. He also ha'd the, crown deed of the farms Agnes and her sons bought from the crown photo copied. Bernadean Ritchie reported she had approached Greg Alton of Huron Lan(scap- int to decorate the school with sh, s. Ruth Alton reported the farm signs were made and Russel Irvin reported on the farm tours stating buses and cars were planned to take visitors around. Ruth also reported..the church service had been completed and only 11 showed up for the first choir practice. The next practice is July 5 at the Brookside School. Lois Alton reported the registration com- mittee had met and a floor plan and volunteers were ready. Frank said many residents had opened their home for billeting and only a few would be staying in motels. Ross Errington reported the Agricultural Society is getting extra tables and the reunion can make use of - them. It was decided tables could be setup on the pave- ment, however if the weather is poor, they would need volunteers to move everything inside. • Frank noted it would be wise for each branch of the family to discuss a) an update on the genealogy of their branch and appoint a representative to look after the update; b) to decide if they are interested in having another large reunion at a later date or just a branch reunion. Descendants were also encouraged to paint their names on their mail boxes to make it easier to find the farms cm the tour.
