Mrs. Bert Nicholson, and Olive Needham
were dinner guests with Bell Graham at
Lucknow on Wednesday and all attended
the Carolfest afterwards.
Bill . Graham of Lucknow visited on
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson
and, then attended a pre -Christmas , dinner
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Young at
Kinloss.

the Anglican Church Women's meeting on
Thursday afternoon at their home, with a
good attendance.
The president, Mrs. Delbert Hedley
presided and the meeting ;opened with the
carol, The First Nowell, . followed by
prayer. Mrs. Ronald Thacker read the.

meeting, elected . a committee which will
meet with a liaison committee from the
Huron -Perth .Roman Catholic' Separate t.
School Board. The Catholic school board
requested the 'committee.
Director of education Bob Allan said this
committee would have the same authority
as 'anY other board committee, which is to
discuss and negotiate.
Although the committee'' won't actually
get going until the new year, Mr. Allan
said the members should have some time
for "reading" about establishing ,a Cathol-
ic high school in Huron -Perth.

R. R. 2, Brussels, Graeme Craig of R. R. 4,

Mrs. Ronald Thacker gave the financial
statement and a thank you for a donation of
money to St. Monica House, Waterloo was
read as well as a letter from Bishop James
Allen of the Diocese of Keewatin thanking
the ladies for bales sent to needy areas
there.
The 1985 officers were re-elected and the
committee will plan the new : programs

teachers negotiations
The 'Education. Releations Commission
has appointed Mr. J. A. (Sam) McKeown
of Toronto to act as mediator in the nego-
tiations between .secondary teachers and
trustees of the Huron County Board of
Education. ,
Mr. McKeown, who retired as Director
of .Field Services with the commission in
1982, has had' a distinguished and wide
ranging career in education which began as
an elementary school teacher and included
teaching at the post graduate level.
