[Photo by Sharon Dietz] V7 VI Lucknow Sentinel, Wednesday, December 19, 1984 --Page 3 Win Co-op contest Two Lucknow area girls have won Commodore 64 computers" in a draw sponsored by .the United Co-operatives of Ontario and .the Lucknow District Co-op through their Safety Heart Campaign Con- test. Approximately 1,500 draw forms and safety heart decals were distributed to the two elementary schools in Ripley, Brook- side Public, St. Joseph's Community and Lucknow Central Public Schools. About 75 per cent of the forms were returned to the Lucknow Co-op to be entered in the lucky draw for three prizes: a Commodore home computer system with a Commodore • 64, disc drive, colour monitor and printer; a Commodore 64 with colour monitor and Commodore 64. Allison Curran of R. 1, .Dungannon won tie first prize of a Commodore home computer system. She placed her decals.on a PTO shaft, an auger and a high moisture corn mixer. Tarrin Colwell of Kinloss Township won the second prize of a Commodore 64 with colour monitor. She placed her decals on a van, harvester and 'tractor. Lucknow Co-op manager Dave Dawson said he was pleased with the response to the draw and never expected a winner from this area, much less two winners, because the odds were ."Amazing". ea logger fiuedfor contravening by-law Alfred J. The contract which was entered in evidence specifically stated that Poechman would only cut timber in accordance with the proper regulations. Evidence on behalf of the owner indicated he became concerned Poechman was cutting more timber than he was entitled to and Poechman ignored : the owner's demands to stop cutting and con- tinued to remove timber from the property.
