John James Errington
John James Errington of Lucknow
passed away on. November 22, 1984 .at
Wingham and District 'Hospital after a
brief illness, at the age or 85,' •
A farmer for.50 years in West Wawanosh
Township, he was a member of Dungannon
L.O.L. 324, the Dungannon Senior Citizens
group and Dungannon United Church.
Born in'Penrith, Clnberland, England,
on November 23, 1898, he was a son of the.
late David Errington and Sarah Bell of
England.
He is survived by his vvife, the former
Evelyn Culbert, whom he married on
November 23, 1927 at the home of the
bride's parents in West Wawanosh Town-
ship. He is also survived by one son,
George, daughter-in-law, Jean and two.
grandchildren, Bill and Betty.
The funeral service was conducted from
the MacKenzie, and McCreath Funeral
Home in Lucknow on November 24, 1984 at,
2 p.m. by Rev. R. J. Roberts Of Dungannon
United Church. 1
Flower, bearers were CalderPatterson,
Harvey Culbert, HaroldCulbert and
Harold Errington.
Pallbearers were Eldon Culbert, Thomas
Culbert, Laverne Culbert, Thomas Young,
Gordon Nivins and Earl Nivins.
Burial followed in Dungannon Cemetery.

• visited Sunday with Barbara Rintoul,
Kevin and Corey of West Wawanosh.

to Mrs. F. Daw and family of Highway
86 in the passing this week of her husband
and their father.

Joseph Clare Lannon
Joseph Clare Lannan died at hole on
Tiny Beaches Road near Perkinsfield,
Ontario on November 13, 1984.
Clare was born in Ashfield Township on
November 13, 1924 to William and Cath,
erine (Martin) Lannan,
Beloved husband of Bernice (Schleen)
and loving father of Sandra (Mrs. Paul
Atkinson) of Brampton, and Debbie Harri-
son of Mississauga, and devoted grand-
father of Shawna, Aaron and Kasha.
He is survived by six brothers and
sisters: Wilamina Hill of Scarborough,
Rosemary (Mrs. Dan Bass) of West Hill,
William (Bud) of Woodstock, Delina (Mrs.
Don Baetz) of St. Agathe, Donna (Mrs. Ian
Parker) of London,' and Eldon of London.
The body of the late Mr. Lannan rested
at Beausoliel Funeral Home in Penetang-
uishine. Funeral service was held at St.
Joseph's Church in Lafontaine on Friday,
November 16, 1984 at 11.00 a.m. Rev.
Father McCarrol officiated. Cremation was
to follow.
Pallbearers were six nephews: Mark and
Glenn Hill; Ronald, Richard, Raymond and
Robert Messenger.

Wins lucky draw
'Kathleen Forster of Lucknow, and
Teeswater's Jean Culliton were the lucky
ones in the local Canadian Diabetes Associa-
tion draw. .
At the November 22nd general meeting,
held at the Wingham and District Hospital,
the winners were announced for the quarter
of beef, and the loin of pork.

Webster told of seven different kinds of
carols. Between each of the readings a
carol was sung.
The meeting was closed with prayer. by
Mrs. Charles McDonald and lunch was

Women met on November 27 for their
Christmas meeting with an attendance of
20 members and seven visitors.
Mrs. Bob Campbell, unit leader, read a
poem, Peace on Earth. The roll call was
answered with a Christmas Thought.
Committee reports were given and the
business was dealt with.
Two pleasing piano duets were given by
Mrs. Bill Graham and Becky Ackert. An
interesting story, A Christmas Mystery,
was read by Mrs. Collyer.
Mrs. Mel Corrin read thescripture and
followed with prayer. Mrs. Graham gave a
Pre Christmas meditation on the advent,
and closed with,, One Solitary Life.
The Story of The Nativity was narrated,
by Mrs. Charlie Davies and interspersed
with musical numbers played by a quart-
ette, Donalda Thompson, Brenda Davies,
Julie Davies and Carol Ferguson and .a
vocal duet by Mrs. Pete Cook and Mrs.
Peter Steer.
Mrs. Collyer expressed thanks to her
committee and to the guests for their
musical numbers. Mrs. Graham conducted
a Bible contest and a social time followed.
