The Lucknow Drop in Centre at the Luclaiow 'Town Hall, provides an opportunity for area
citizens to drop in for a game of cards, some lively conversation and companionship two
afternoons each week, Monday and Friday from 2 • 4 p.m. Rev. Merelyn Letson of St.
Peter's 'Anglican Church, Lucknow spearheaded the projed afterRev. George Garratt, who

Baptize baby at Trinity church
The Sacrament of Baptism was observed
at Trinity United Church on Sunday,. when
Richard Stephen, son of Stephen and. Anne
Andrew was christened by Rev. Arthur
Scott. Bill iAndrew, clerk, presented the
certificate on behalf of the session.
A family dinner followed the service at
the home of Stephen and Anne and family.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs.. Frank
. Van Diepenbeek, Margaret and John
Andrew, Mr. and Mrs.. Bill Andrew and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Rob Rowswell and
iris, Mr. and Mrs.. Carl Stanley and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Van Diepen-
beek and family, Harry Van Diepenbeek
and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Len Boys of Tilisonburg
visited with. John and Shirley Hunter and
Nancy on Saturday.
Dan Nicholson came on Sunday to stay
with his daughter Isabel • and Jim Hunter,
for a while.
Congratulations to Jamie Hackett and,
Pat Shiell who were married on Saturday at

• costumed as the ,Muppets. Thanks to

The euchre tournament, Saturday, Nov-
ember 24 was thoroughly enjoyed by the
• people who made up 21 tables but
• especially by those winning prize money or
cakes! Future euchre tournaments will be
held on the fourth Saturday of each month
in the New Year. Each time there will be
novelty games for some extra fun! •

The next regular meeting will be the
annual meeting, Tuesday, January 22,
starting with a pot luck supper at 7 p.m.
Following will be a 29 minutes colour film
which was produced for Ontario's Bicen-
tennial year as a tribute to the past genera-
tions of farmers who made Ontario great.
The film, "Proud Beginnings" focuses on
the achievements of Ontario farmers, past
and present, and visits six Ontario farm
families who continue to farm land settled
by -their ancestors more than 200 years ago.
