Bethel United Church was the setting for the
wedding of Joan Courtney and Raimonds
Reijeris on Saturday,. November 10, 1984 at4
pin. Joan is the daughter of Elmer and
Joyce Courtney of Ripley and Raimonds is
the son of Michael and'Margareta; Reijeris of
Hamilton. The double ring 'ceremony was
officiated by Rev. Robert Stokes. Given in
marriage by her parents, the bride wore her
mother's wedding gown ofivory satin lace.
The bride was attended by Elizabeth
MacKay, friend of the bride. Bernie Albert
'was the best man. Christy Johnson, niece of
the bride was the flower girl and Sean Court-.
ney, nephew of the bride was ring bearer.
Guests were ushered by Elliott and Carmon
Courtney, brothers of the bride. Guests
attended from as .far away as Chicago,
Ottawa, Toronto ' and Edmonton.. The
organist, Bernice Courtney, was accompan-
ied by Carmon Courtney for the wedding
music. Two songs from , the nieces and
nephews of the bride,' Shannon; Reagan and
Sean . Courtney, Christy and Kim Johnson
and Matthew Courtney were enjoyed. The
dinner and reception • followed in Ripley
complex, Ripley. Following their honeymoon.

Snowmobile club
holds meeting
The St. Helens Snowmobile Club met on
Wednesday, November 28 for their annual,
meeting: Jack Caesar presided for the
election. '

Doug Brown,' Jack Caesar, Harold Erring-
ton; (one year term), Marion Taylor, Ross

Jim Bowie was elected to. the Lake Huron
Regional ' Snowmobile' Association. Other

Events planned include a weekend at
Sauble Beach in January and the poker
rally on February 3, 1985.
