Married 65 years
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jamieson
celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary
on November 11 with an Open House at
Maitland Manor in Goderich where Mrs. ,
Jamieson is a resident. , •
Gordon Jamieson, son of the late Mr. and
Mrs -John Jamieson of Ashfield Township,
married the former Sydney Belle MacInnes
at her parents' home in Kinloss Township on
December 24, 1919 with the Reverend Mr.
Scobie officiating.
Mr. Jamieson farmed until he was 45
years of age. He then worked at the Purity
Flour Mill in Goderich for eight years and
later worked at the Communications School

The couple have ' two children, Stuart

- Dungannon congregation sends aid to starving Ethiopia
On November 11 the Dungannon United
Church congregation took up a special
Missions and Services envelope collection
amounting to $600.00 which will be used to
aid the starving in Ethiopia.
' On Saturday the Willing Workers held a
very successful bake sale, bazaar and tea..
The Christmas food hamper was won by
Brenda Nivins of R. 3, Auburn. The special

On Monday Sheila Clarke was at Brook-
side. Mrs. Clarke was .helping and observ-
ing in several classrooms.
Several students have been absent these
last few weeks due to .the flu and chicken ,
Pox.
Mrs. Worsell'S ,guest reader, for this

the seniors weekly cards. High man was
