The ,triarof Dr. 'Henry Morgentaler was
briefly discussed at the Winkham, pro-IKe
meeting this month. It was felt that
Morgentaler is quilty of having "conspired
to procure an abortiotl",/ the official charge
against him: The judge, as was -pointed out
atthe Meeting, had instructed thejurors to
consider whether the law as such had been
broken. Re also pointed out that the law
itself was not on trial. Furthermore, ac-
cording to the judge, the usual justification
or abortion, namely that it is "necessary",
does not apply in the. Morgentaler case:

Was found by a logger on Monday, Oetober
22, 1984. Wayne was the second son of Joe.

non. He lost his life by drowning in the ,
Ricking Horse River near Golden, British
Columbia on July 1, 1984. '
An autopsy was performed at Cran-
brook, B.C. and POsiiive indentification
made through dental records. The body
was flown to the Toronto. Airport' by C.P.
Airlines. The Bob Hindsman Funeral
Home, Golden, 11.C, and MacKenzie and
McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow were in
charge of arrangenients.
• Rosary was recited at the funeral home
4 members of the.. Kingsbridge. Catholic
Wornees League. Funeral Mass was
celebrated by Rev. Father. Ed Dentinger,
c,it at St., Joseph's Roman Catholk
Church, at Kingsbridge on Saturday.

Pallbearers ' were four brothers, Gary
Courtney,. Eric 'Courtney, Floyd Courtney
and Carl Courtney and cousins Joe Austin
and Terry Austin. The offering was taken
up by his "sis", Chris Courtney! and
cousins, Debbie Austin, Vivian Bryan?, Fay •
(Hogan) Telfer, Desmond and Michael
Courtney, •
As a special tribute Jim Sinnett sang
"Wandering Boy" at the graveside service
as the rain gently foll. Burial was in the
Kingsbridge Cenietery. Following the
service, lunch was served at the -Courtney
honiestead.
