tunrny fluttering in the breeze scares trick or treaters
The trick or treaters were very orderly
and did no mischief in the village to far as
we can learn. No windows were soaped or
waxed nor flower pots or boxes upset. A
dummy was tied up by a rope to the arm of
the hydro lamp. In the wind the moving
arms and legs and flapping clothes scared
some of the pranksters and even the dogs.
• We are•sOrty to report that Paul Kikkert
had the misfortune to receive burns -while
, burning leaves, which forced 'him to spend
some time in the hospital. The community
wishes him' a speedy recovery.
John Gaunt visited ,Wednesday after-
noo.with Victor Emerson.
Callers on Thursday with Mr. and Mrs.
Victor EMerson were Mr. and Mrs. Stan
Chisholm and Mrs. Jim Shiell, Milton and
Mrs. Jean Henderson Mississauga. They
were on their way to visit with Mrs.
Messenger in Kincardine.

Beecroft were Karen Beecroft of Kitchener

On Saturday Hugh Sinnamon took a bus
• load to attend a eukele workshop at
Hamilton. „? •.
Paul Currie attended the commencement
at F. E. Madill Secondary in Wingham on
the weekend. •

1984! at Kincardine and District' General
Hospital. He's part of the third -generation
for Mr. and Mrs. Russell Yungblut of Font -
hill and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jewson of Fort
Erie. •

The Lucky Devils erupted for seven goals
in the second period on their way 'to a 9-0
romp over the Clinton Warriors. Rodger
Forsyth netted four goals for the Devils,
while Mike Schumacker and Wayne
Saunders scored two goaleach, and Lin
Hewitt added' one. Wayne Carter picked up
•two assists with Wayne Saunders, John
Beadle, Brad Johnston and Rodger and

The Blyth Bears managed to squeak out a
1-0 overtime, win over the Maitland Dirt
Riders. Clare Weber set up John Bird for the
•power -play goal for the Bears.
Rosa Foran's unassisted goal with only 13
seconds remaining in overtime, lifted
Auburn to a 2-1 victory over the Blyth Bain-
toneers. Marg Foran set up Karen Souch for
• Auburn's first goal, while Becky Hamm
scored the Baintoneers' lone goal.
