born on November 4 at Wingham and•
District Hospital. Proud parents are Mr.• -2,
and Mrs. Jeff Taylor of Lucknow.
Hallowe'en was quiet in the village last.
Wednesday, although residents reported a
very large increase in callers. Most enjoyed
seeing so, .many out travelling the neigh-
bourhood..
Mr. and Mrs. Ron Sprague of London
were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs:
Don Taylor and family.. -
The bi-weekly shoot parties have com-
menced again this season with a card game
held 'on Thursday night.
Area residents and members of the
Lucknow Legion attended the Remem-
brance Day service , held at the hall on
Sunday afternoon. -
Mr. and Mrs.. Wayne Todd and . family
were . Sunday visitors of Mr. ' and Mrs.
Dutch Ducharme of Wingham. - Candice
Kay of Dungannon also visited with the
Todds.
St. Helens W.I.
The November meeting of St. Helens
W.I. was held on Thursday afternoon,
November 1. Ten members and one guest
were present. The roll call, What would
you tell the prospective member, brought a
variety of responses'. •
ST. HELENS

Thank you notes were read from the
Snowden family and the. Arthritis Society.
It was decided to make a donation to the
Town and Country Hothemakers.
The branch is planning a card party for
Monday, November 12 and . every two
weeks thereafter, .depending on the
response. A community pot luck supper
will be held , in the hall on Wednesday,
November 21. .•
The guest speaker, Brenda boner of
Walton, gave a very, interesting account of
the oiigin and the ongoing activities of the
Blyth Festival. She attributed the festival's
success to the support of the .surrounding
community. Brenda is, the present general
manager of the 'Festival:
During the remainder of the meeting,
Agnes Lyons . gave a reading entitled,
November, and the minutes of the •yester-
year. were read by Edith Cooper., The
poem,. In Flanders Fields, was repeated in
unison.
The . meeting closed after which ' a
delicious lunch wasserved by Agnes Lyons
and Norma I Raynard.
Enjoy week at Hope. Bay cotta
Mr. and Mrs.. Jack' Needham and Mr:
and Mrs.. Ira Dickie enjoyed a . couple of
days last week at their cottage' at Hope
Bay.
A 10th wedding anniversary dinner for
David and Ellen Keith of Teeswater was
hosted on Saturday, November 3 by Evan
and Margaret Keith. Present to celebrate
the happy occasion were. Ellen's mother,
Victoria Lamke . of Teeswater; John and
Marion -Reid, Niel and Irene MacAllister,
both . of Chesley; Mack and Fern Keith of
Unionville; Bob and Eleanor Keith of Scar-
borough; Austin and Mildred Loree of
Lucknow and Mack and Muriel Sewers. of
Minessing:
William MacKenzie • stayed with his
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mac-
Kenzie, while his parents, Mr. and Mrs..
Rod MacKenzie of Unionville . were on
holidays in Switzerland.

South Kinloss church choir joined in the
celebration of ."The. Book of Praise' . held at
the Knox Presbyterian Church in Kincar-
dine on Sunday evening. The Presbytery of
Bruce -Maitland held a Hymn Festival with
the surrounding churches participating.
Herb and Myrtle McQuillin,' Lucknow,
their son and his wife, Carmen `and Mary.
McQuillin of Salem, Harvey and Isabel
McQuillin, St. Catharines, Gordon McQuil-
lin, Sarnia visited recently with Mr. and
Mrs.. Richard McQuillin.
Wobbe Top of Teeswater received word
last week of the death of his nephew,
Andrew Kars of Belmoral, Manitoba, as
the result of a farm accident, on October
28.
Wobbe, his brother, William and
brother, Wietse of Acton, flew to Manitoba
to attend the funeral.
