Lucknow Lancers
begin practice

The 19$4-85 edition of the Lucknow
Lancer Intermediate hockey team will be
competing in the central division of .the
W.O.A.A:.The division will consist of four
teams being Ripley, Teeswater, Wingham,
and Lucknow.
Lucknow will play a double . home and
home with Ripley and Teeswater and a
triple home and home with Wingham. The
team will also play a home and home series
with teams from the south group being
Exeter, Monkton, Drayton and St. Clem-
ents..
T1ie team is hoping to regenerate some
of the natural rivalry that once existed with
these teams.
The. Lancers will be holding a workout at
• the Lucknow arena on Thursday, ,October
11 at 9.30 p.m. Anyone wishing to play or
be a part of the Lancer organization please
phone 395-5617 or attend. Schedule to
follow at a later date.
Take steam engine to fair
Weekend visitors with Finlay and
Margie MacDonald was Kathie Robson
and her son, Ryan of Grosse Point
Michigan and 'Eugene Blue of Detroit,
Michigan. Kathie, Ryan and Eugene were
in attendance Saturday at the annual fall
fair in Ripley. Kathie spent her time with
Finlay MacDonald and his steam. engine
She was his engineer for the day.
Visiting' on the .weekend with Rhetta
MacLennan and attending the Ripley fall
fair were Jack and Annette of Stratford and •
Florence MacLennan of Kitchener.
Finlay MacLennan, Brenda and family
were home on the weekend with Dorothy
(D.A.) MacLennan.,
Ewan and Marj MacLean ,visited in
Waldron,' Michigan recently with , Marj's
relatives.
The community 'would like to send con-
gratulations to Gordon and Nora Robb on
the occasion: of their 35th wedding anni-
versary.
