Paul Carroll, superintendent of special education, told the Oct. 1 meeting of the trustees that this type of teacher: is new for the board. Currently, the teachers of developmental- ly handicapped students are recognized as ' teachers by the provincial ministry of com- munity and social services. These teachers are graduates of a communjty college, said Mr. Carroll and ate classified as non- certified. As part of its special educatiion.package, the Huron board will be hiring three"of these teachers for Septet fiber` 1985, one each for HuronHope ; in Huron - Park, queen Elizabeth, in Goderich and Golden Circle iii: %gngham.
