chatted with the Bushells and then the
Queen was presented with the beautiful
Bicentennial quilt. which Doris made. She
.received first prize in a quilt contest marking

I and acquaintances, "Don't give us your pity,
give us your support."
The parents are very involved in the
progression of their child. They are active on
the NEECIP Management Board. Margaret
is the ,organization's .treasurer. Both Gordon
and Margaret say the NEECIP has been a
great help to them. NEECIP coordinator
and hometeacher, Wendy Weseen; says the
group tries to offer help to families with
disabled children in many ways; by visiting
the child every two weeks, by monitoring the
child and reporting any difficulties to the
CRC in Saskatoon, by offering educational
resources and group sessions for . the
parents, and most of all, by offering moral
support. 1,
Weseen says that the group manages
mainly on funds raised by the members,
they rely little on government support. But
now, this support is not sufficient, the group
is realizing the increasingneeds for the
group in the community. They are seeking
. further government support for the increas-
ing cases where child intervention is needed.
"We recently received a generous dona-
tion of $2000 from the Kinsmen Club and we
welcome individual and club donations, but
we are finding, the present funding .incapable
in supporting a group such as NEECIP in a
situation where its demand is growing,"
Weseen said.

SPENDING OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY TO ADVERTISE
YOUR STORE OR SERVICE
Co-op is funds that manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers provide
to promote their products within the framework of the store's advertis-
ing program, with the manufacturer, distributor or supplier paying
either all or part of the cost of advertising.
Co-op funds are available from many national manufacturers: They
permit you to increase your advertising program at little :or no extra
cost to you:
Advertising created by co-op dollars can provide you with more adver-
tising sprace at a reduced cost.
Using co-op on nationlally advertised merchandise tells your customers
that you are the national brand headquarters in .your area, and intro-
duces families that are new to the area to your store.
By advertising national brand merchandise, you directly take advan-
tage of the money that manufacturers spend on national advertising to
promote their products.
If an item has co-op built into its cost by the manufacturer; ollectig
n it
will earn you as much for your money as your competitors earn when
they use co-op.
