honours for the completion of 12 clubs.
• Each club member was to exhibit two
vegetables that they had grown in their
gardens. Karen Elliott placed first with
Koli-rabi, and second with cabbage. Marilyn
Jamieson was first with cauliflowers,
Kendra Purdon third with peppers, Cathy
Dow first with tomatoes and third with
potatoes. *
Clover Valley did an excellent job of
hosting with their humorous songs and
comments about gardening.
On Sunday, September 2 joint services
will be held in Chalmers Presbyterian
Church. Sunday school at 10 a.m. and a
Bible class will be held by Rev: G. Ball, if
attenders arrive: Church service at 11 a.m.
Visitors on the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. Elmer Sleightholm were Mr. and Mrs..

• On Wednesday, August 15 Whitechurch
and Kinloss bali teams played at Lucknow
ball diamond with Kinloss winners. Each
• team had won one. game. On Monday,
August 20 they played the deciding game on
Whitechurch diamond with Kinloss winners.
Mr. and Mrs. George Lubbers, Karen,
Brian, Dennis and Richard spent three days
at Family Paradise Camp. •
