The members were given a tour of the itlurserY by Sue Montgomery, a landscape architect who works there. She pointed out air the trees 'and shrubs that they had in stock, plus information on where they Would best be planted and the prices of the various plants.. After the tour, Sue answered any. ques- tions the members had. Liz Wilkins thanked her for conducting the tour and presented her with a gift. The club then went back to the home of Fran Flphick and discussed plans fur their Achievement Day, ' The fifth meeting of the Clover Valley Dirt Diggers was held. at Christine Srnpsri's home on July 24. . For roll call, the members reported .on the progress of their projects and - named two vegetables they brought from. their gardens. Christine Simpson read the minutes of the last meeting and Achievement Day plans were discussed. Mayme Wilkins discussed the landscaping of trees and Rock . Gardens and Fran Elphick , discussed the exhibiting of vegetables and flower arranging. Donna Arnold then gave a quiz on the last meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Robson and son of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, formerly of this area, (Mike worked for George and Finlay MacDonald for several summers) were back to visit recently, While here they en- joyed a social evening with .endS at the home of Allen and Byrle MacDofiald.
