The main interest in their visit Was the trip to the barn.to see all the little pigs, and then • a calf, and 'a lamb were broughtto the farm for the children to see and pet. Many of the children were from the city, and hacl never been on a farm..befor..e. Just " before .their visit was over, Mayme served them up cakes and -beverages. Mary MacDonald of Ripley. • Ian Finlayson, son of Dorothy Finlayson and his wife, Christina have had awonderful trip cycling this summer, partway across Canada. They left. Vancouver, British •Col- umbia in mid May and when they got to the mountains, they took a train . to Calgary, Alberta. They - visited here for a few days with relatives, and continued on cycling across Saskatchewan to • Winnipeg, Manitoba. They tooka train again to Sud- LOCHALSH by Kae Webster/ ,bury, Ontario and then cycled down from Northern Ontario to' his mother's home in the Lochalsh area, arriving on Monday, Ju- ly 23. Ian and Christina will visit relatives in Ontario before they take off again this time to Europe where they will visit relatives in Holland,cycle down through Greece.
