NEWBOLD, , of Lucknow,, Ontario, only
daughter of RobertAsher and Martha Alice
Huston, was boarin.: Luc ow March . 27,
1922, and passed, away at ears• residence in
Lucknow on July:5,1984 after along illness.
Oa January 3,1948 shetharried` George Ar-
thur. Newbold in Toronto, Ontario.' She is
survived by her husband,:thr ''•children

Elizabeth Louise • Newbol Koenders , of
Calgary, Alberta; David Robert .Newbold of
Merrickville, Ontario;. four grandchildreen r.
Scott and Kara of, Okotoks; • Rob and Mary
Elizabeth of Merrickville.`� . --..
• She graduated from Lucknow 'Public and
High Schools, then trained as, a:•, -nurse at
Hamilton General Hospital. In 1944 she
graduated and • received her curse's
registration and entered her, chosen profes
sign of service and caring. She: did in-
dustrial . nursing With' • Westinghouse in
Hamilton, hospital: -nursing • at Toronto
Military Hospital (Christie St:), where .she
met and later married her husband, George.
She did private duty nursingin Toronto until
1 •
• 1960 when she and her . husband ' purchased
and operated.. Pinecrest Manor Nursing
Home where she, was director of nursing un-
• til her retirement„ froth active nursing in
1979. '
Mary was extremely active in the Ontario
Nursing Home Association,. particularly in.
the area of educationto upgrade nursing
standards in the nursing home sector. She
was a
member of the Order of the Eastern
Star, Past President -of the. United .Churc i
Women of the Lucknow United Church, and
was •very active in church groups in Em-
. manuel United Methodist Church in Braden -
. ton, Florida during the winter.
She lived her Christian beliefs, daily,in a
practical application of her faith, touching
the lives and influencing many through her
completely .selfless, thoughtful; loving and
caring concern for others. The world• is a-
much better place : for her having passed
through and made her contributions. God
bless a beautiful person. •
